Meeting Room Rules The Blair Public library provides a meeting room for Library sponsored or
co-sponsored programs which meet the Librarys service goals. When
not in use for Library activities, the meeting room is available to local community
organizations or individuals under the following guidelines:
1. The meeting room is available on a priority basis to groups who
provide services to residents of Washington County.
2.
The meeting room is available for educational and cultural meetings
of interest to the general public.
3. The meeting room is not available for the
benefit of profit-making individuals or organizations.
4. Reservation can be made only one at a time. The Library cannot accept a standing reservation for the
meeting room as this could deny the use of the room to other groups.
5. There is no fee for the use of the meeting room except that
individuals or groups responsible for the meeting shall be liable for all damages and
cleanup.
6. People wishing to use the meeting room must call in advance for a
reservation, and will be allowed use of the meeting room on a first-come-first-served
basis.
7. Generally, the meeting room is available for use during the hours
the Library is open. If the meeting extends past Library hours, it must
start an hour before the Library closes and end within two hours after closing.
8. Light refreshments may be served in the meeting
room provided the room is left in the condition in which it was
found. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited.
9. The Library Director, the City Council, and the Library
Board do not endorse the particular views or activities of any individual or group using
the meeting room. Allowance of a group's use should not be considered an endorsement
of the group or its activities.
10. The library is not responsible for accidents, injury, loss, theft,
or any damage of individual property that occur while using the meeting room. |
