Interlibrary Loan               << Back

Interlibrary loan is a service in which a patron may request materials not owned by the Blair Public Library from another library.  Print materials, audiocassettes, videos, CD’s and microfilm may be borrowed through interlibrary loan.  Microfilm borrowed from another library must be viewed at the library.

Who can make an interlibrary loan request?
Any patron in good standing with a valid library card may make a request.

Is there a charge for this service?
The patron is required to pay one-way cost of postage for the item.  This fee is due when the item is picked up.  If the lending library charges a fee, you must also pay this fee.  We always try to find libraries that don’t charge a lending fee and would only borrow from a library that charges a fee with your permission.

How do you make a request?
1)  You may fill out a request form at the circulation desk in person
2)  Call the Library at 402-426-3617
3)  Use the Online Request Form
