Holds                       << Back     Circulation Policy

A patron with a valid library card may place a hold on any item that may be checked out.

This may be done by:

  • requesting the hold at the library circulation desk or
  • contacting the library by phone.

If the item is very popular, you will be placed on a waiting list in the order of which the request was made. When the item is returned to the library you will be contacted by phone to come in and pick up the item. From the time the item is checked in there is a five-day time limit for the patron to be contacted and pick up the item. There is no charge for holds.
