Resolution
(Approved at the October 21, 2004 General Meeting of the Friends of the Library)

Whereas
the Friends of the Library seek to support the continued growth of our Public Library through events and fundraising,

and whereas,
they seek to promote the expansion of the facilities and programs of the public Library,

and whereas,
the organization has current funds along with a strong potential to generate future funds,

Be it resolved
that the Friends of the Blair Library commit (pledge) an amount of  $10, 000 (ten thousand dollars) to be given to the Library Foundation over the next 5  (five) years and designate these funds as "the Library Building Fund" for the purpose of  funding costs associated with expanding the current library facility.  

Be it further resolved
that the Friends make annual payment to the Library Foundation with an initial payment of $5,000 (five thousand dollars) to fulfill the pledge.
