Membership Coordinator Job Description
(Working Draft)


1) Receive Membership Form and Payment
Records membership then turns money over to the treasurer


2) Maintain Membership Roster

Name, address, phone, email address, dues status and member status
Maintain list of inactive members to be used for recruitment
Distribute membership lists and calling tree to membership and staff
File current membership information at the Library and make it accessible to membership and staff
Maintain a mailing list and prepare mailing labels
Maintain list of prospective members & coordinate recruitment

3) Welcome New Members
Issue Membership Cards (reissue to renewing members)

Give Newsletter
Give welcome call (and maybe even offer to pick-up for first meeting.)
Invite to next meeting


4) Coordinate Membership Recruitment
